Congratulations to our youth leader for Aspire Growth Amir, he has been accepted into the prestigious Young Executives of Color (YEOC) program at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business. This achievement marks a significant milestone in Amir's academic journey and future career prospects.
The YEOC program, established in 2006, is a nine-month college pipeline initiative designed to cultivate academic potential in underrepresented high school student leaders across Washington State. Amir will join a cohort of 170 talented students from 73 schools, attending monthly Saturday sessions on the UW campus.
As a YEOC participant, Amir will benefit from comprehensive college preparation, exposure to various business careers, and professional development opportunities. He'll engage in business lectures, competitions, and networking events with industry leaders from companies like EY, Microsoft, and Adidas. Additionally, Amir will be paired with a mentor from the Foster School of Business, providing him with valuable guidance and support.
This opportunity not only prepares Amir for college admissions and potential scholarships but also introduces him to a supportive network of ambitious peers and professional role models. As he embarks on this journey, Amir is poised to develop real-life business skills, explore diverse career paths, and strengthen his academic foundation - all crucial steps towards his future success in higher education and beyond.
